Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Dropout ("the Service"), operated by Sori Labs ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Dropout is a campus-based social platform that enables university students to share content and engage with their campus community. The platform allows for anonymous posting within verified university communities.

Eligibility

To use Dropout, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid university email address from a supported institution
  • Not have been previously banned from the Service
  • Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid university email address to verify your affiliation.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You may not share your account or use another person's account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

User Content

Your Rights

You retain ownership of the content you post on Dropout. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Service.

Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that:

  • Is illegal or promotes illegal activity
  • Harasses, threatens, or bullies other users
  • Contains personal information about others without consent
  • Is spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
  • Impersonates another person or entity
  • Contains malware or malicious links
  • Violates intellectual property rights
  • Is sexually explicit content involving minors
  • Incites violence or promotes hate against protected groups

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We may do so without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in a manner consistent with its intended purpose. You may not:

Indemnification

Account Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. In cases of severe violations, termination may be immediate and without prior notice. We are not obligated to provide a refund for any reason.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.
